Friendo IT Asset Management

When nothing else works the way you want it to, why don't you just spend all of your free time for a couple days/nights/early mornings, building a web based tool to do exactly what you want it to do!?

Friendo is still pre-production. It is on Coldfusion for the time being. I hope to migrate it over to php ASAP, cleaning up the admin side, and releasing for everyone to enjoy! That being said, I am obsessed with Friendo right now. I am very proud of its ease of use and functionality! I will be using it at work for the time being to keep track of all of our IT assets. When I move it over to PHP, I'll have a live demo! Until then... blurred out images :(

This was/is the largest single project I have done for BuildingGreen. An amazing opportunity presented itself: build a prototype. Who wouldn't like to hear that!? (Upon rereading this, non-designers came to mind...) Being let loose, allowed me to write some really neat code to accomplish the task at hand, based on requests and a limited time frame.

Intuitive code was used to guide the users along certain paths, to the destination they set out for, but did not necessarily know they were. Code was written in ColdFusion 7, using many existing functions and encapsulating new functions for possible expansion. This was my first "large" scale project using jQuery, and I like it. Other sweetness: jTip, Pengo Works modded auto completer.

Sadly, this prototype is not available for public viewing. Some screen captures can be seen below.

Examples coming soon, of said projects

  • Home Page Redesign
  • HTML Email
  • Script.aculo.us + Forms = Fun!!
  • Poster
  • Cron Job
  • Portals
  • Condensate Calculator (design only)

Just go to the site. Riot Riot = fun/sandbox/friends/always never finished/sweet javascript. I was really psyched on doing a slider website similar to the way that Panic does their software websites. Following some tutorials and similar sites, I was able to modify the Javascript to do what I wanted and PRESTO! My favorite site!?

This is a collaboration with my friend Jonathan Christensen and is still a work in progress, and only a few people have seen it, but YOU can see it right now by going here. If the left button disappears, I didn't do it.

If you don't like going to other websites (understandably) you may see 2 snapshots, only, below.

OurPeople was an Intranet program for Au Bon Pain, of Boston, MA.

Features:

  • Directory for employees to quickly access other employee's email, phone, and company history.
  • Admin account to edit, add, remove accounts.
  • User accounts to allow said person to edit their information and change their passwords.

Site is not public. 3 screens below.

My first real website. I still have an out-of-date, sort-of working copy of it here. My favorite thing about this site (other than learning how to make websites!) was the collage menu on the left. It is kind of over the top, but was fun at the time.

Old Evilsnowman.com Intro

*Enter link at end of clip is broken, old flash files are gone, along with my old hard drive. Oh the lessons you learn.

*Artwork: 1 - 4 Jasen Giondomenico; 5 - 13 Philip Scheffer.

Coming soon.

This is an MP3 player I built using numerous tutorials, and was my first forray into actionscripting. The playlist is loaded from an XML file. The files are all hosted externally.
